The nightly fee reflects a $3 discount for paying by cash - a nice way to save money. Not an easy place to find as it is on the frontage road not the highway itself and signage is small. We drove on past and had to call for directions, which should be in Woodall but aren't. We would have rated this campground higher except that one shower/bath was so filthy it really should be condemned and the other was just OK. On the other hand, staff was friendly and helpful, our site near highway was level and relatively quiet, the campground itself was very quiet, and everything appeared to be clean except already mentioned bath areas. Verizon phone and broadband worked fine. Would we stay here again as we pass from north to south - yes.

Daily rate reflects club discount. This park is all others say when it comes to quiet on the interstate and ease of use. We enjoyed our stay here and were well pleased with the friendly staff and the facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and all that this area offered.

We enjoyed staying at this park and found it relatively quiet. Our site was plenty large, shady, and near the adult pool. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the laundry and bath houses were clean, and TV worked fine. We will stay here again when in the Ft. Worth area.

We were here during torrential thunder storms but did not have a flood problem as we were in the upper area and did not experience the problems that downpour rain (some said up to 5 inches in 24 hours) can inflict. The site was quiet, plenty of space, and staff was nice. Two things to watch for: first is if you want a "gazebo" site look first because your slides may not work well with the way the park built the gazebos. Second, be careful if you have mail forwarded - our priority mail ended up on the floor in the wrong building and we had to track it down, which we considered sloppy work by the mail handler. Other than that, we really liked this park and would have stayed longer if not for the rain and storms.

Rate reflects discount for KOA. We have stayed at this park a number of times this year as it is close to family, friends, and medical appointments. It is a clean park, with friendly staff and usually quiet neighbors. The staff here try very hard to accommodate any need a camper may have. We had a large site, although a tree was a problem with the awning, table and fire pit. We will stay again.

Cost reflects discount. We read that this is a new RV park but it is easy to locate just off I-35. Yes, there is Interstate noise and on weekend there is a race track near so the motors are loud, louder than the highway noise. Our hillside site was very long with a concrete pad and a patio with grill and table overlooking the lakes. Sites were very wide as well as long. The combined shower and restroom were by combination entrance and very clean. Everything one could want in nearby Ardmore including many shopping, restaurants, Wal-Mart, Flying-J, and much more. Nearby is the free by donation Gene Autry, OK Museum, a museum of all the movie singing cowboys but especially Autry. A good stop in southern Oklahoma.

We have stayed in well over 50 campgrounds during the past two years and reviewed many. Rating of 10 is a first for us. This campground has everything, although some might encounter a slightly unlevel site since they are gravel. The sites have tables, fire rings, and many have a park bench. The grounds are shaded for the most part, well kept by a friendly staff, and problems are addressed immediately. There are all kinds of things for kids and adults, including mini golf, volleyball, horseshoes, bean-bag toss, a toddler playground, fenced pool, peddle bikes, etc. There is even a fenced dog area. We stayed a week: spent time in the park, and found it to be everything a KOA should be. Easy on and off to I-29.

We had a wide grassy site with a cement patio, table, and fire ring on the upper level. There are not shade trees on the upper level but it is sparsely occupied and very quiet as is the entire campground. Staff is friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Lots to see and do in this area if you have not visited before. We had fairly good Verizon broadband reception and spotty TV reception but the satellite was fine. We will certainly camp here again when in the area. Only cash and check accepted so be prepared.

We visited during a non-holiday weekend and the park was packed. RV's were shoehorned into almost every available spot. Many young children on bikes without parental supervision; neighbors who partied well after quiet hours without a word from hosts; visitors who parked near family sites instead of in the designated visitor parking and more. Still, after everyone left Sunday night, the park was quiet and more what a camp area should be. Mostly people were friendly including the hosts. Storm Lake has plenty to do for a weekend. Showers show evidence of mold but seemed otherwise fairly clean. Laundry was inexpensive. Our site was level and we had a place to park even though we were on a curve. We would probably stay here again with hopes of not being next to the party.

Campground is a half mile west of I-29 with easy entrance and exit. Not all sites are 50amp so request by reservation if needed. Playground has a selection of activities and large yard area rarely used by tenters. Sunny sites have better satellite reception than those under trees. Not all are level either. Friendly owners will answer questions and direct you to area attractions. We had no problem with WiFi or Verizon but no TV reception to speak of unless you have a dish. Great for overnight stay.

Beautiful state park with a number of camping areas from tents only to motorhomes with pull through spots. There are now 5 reservable sites with sewer in addition to W and E. Some 50amp sites but most W & E sites are 30amp. Wide sites allow for plenty of space to play or sit. Tables available and firerings in the tent areas. The park is filled with families each weekend but the weekdays are quiet. This is a fishing lake so fishing is better during the week. Beach area for swimming and boat launch. No cell, wifi and very little TV reception but this is probably because the park is surrounded by limestone bluffs and prairie hills. There is a prehistoric site at the park which draws many historians.

Rate above is based on W&E only. There is an extra charge for sewer. The sewer sites are reservable and often filled on weekends. The W&E sites in Wagon Rut Campground, the section we stayed in, were huge, gravel, pull through and excellent for family play. This is a fishing lake so lots of campers with boats. Nearest towns are about 15 miles so bring food and entertainment. Quiet during the week but busy park on weekends. It is always windy in western Kansas so bring a kite. Friendly park staff willing to answer questions and offer ideas for scenic views.

We had a level pull through for our 40' and space for the tow as well. Quiet even with every site full by evening. Friendly staff but not up on area attractions advertised on their brochure. had no idea how to get to some points of interest. The "Big Oak" is really huge - a record tree and the park is shady. Tight fit for big rigs entering and leaving.

We liked this park from the moment we arrived because it appeared to be clean and well cared for. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a pull through site with cement and a brick patio and table under shady trees. Cable and wi-fi were free and worked just fine. Although we don't often play mini golf, we would have loved to have had time to play here as this is probably the best cared for game area we have seen in many years of camping east of the rockies. Many shops and restaurants within short drive and the Bass Pro Shop just around the corner is unlike any other we have visited - swamp decor is stunning. If you stop at this KOA do take some time to visit the Bass Pro Shop. The only problems we noted were the very bumpy outer road to our site and the fact that there are five washers and only two dryers available. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Owner not available when we arrived but finally found her the next morning. Clean campground and level sites but many appear seasonal. The campground road is used by locals to get to homes back in the trees. Easy access to Interstate and the city has many places to eat and things to see and do. Truck stop next door was not noticeably noisy. No play area for children.

We were given a site along the edge as there were numerous rally groups for the weekend who took the pull throughs even though many of them were smaller units. Nightly rate reflects discount and weekly rate. Our site was not level and had some mud when it rained. Rutlander is rural so you drive to do just about anything other than the Saturday night Opry show which is great fun. Great for a relaxing and quiet time.

A quiet campground in a residential neighborhood. We were placed up front in a pull-through that was long enough for our 40' plus tow. Large sharp gravel and no tables but plenty of space between sites for chairs. Spring migration was on so lots of birds singing in the tall live oaks while we were there. No frills and a keyed bath and laundry are available. Restaurants and shopping are about five miles down I-10. Only complaint was the difficulty getting around the narrow corner enroute to the campground from I-10.

Clean and friendly park with shady sites. Read directions to locate park before you get there or you will drive past the turn off as we did and have to back track through traffic. Quite near interstate with traffic noise. Very near shopping including Sam's Club, gas, dining choices, and malls.

Many annual and seasonal residents who have the 50 amp sites and the water sites. Many pads in this older KOA are cracked and the sites are on the small side. Staff will assist you if you have difficulty fitting into the assigned site. Seasonal s are very friendly and helpful and the area is rural. Very limited beach areas on Pine Island so plan to travel 25-30 miles as the roads go to get to a beach. Lots of art and craft shops plus some interesting seafood eateries on the island.

Large grassy sites with gravel roads. A quiet, well kept campground with friendly staff. We could call it a laid-back place. Restroom and shower but no pool, laundry or play areas. There isn't much in Holt so plan to eat, shop and get gas in Milton or Crestview. But this campground is a good place for quiet reading or an overnight stay.

Gravel roads and level gravel sites, at least for the pull-throughs, which we used for the two nights we stayed at Pavilion. There was some dust but at 5 mph, not bad. Friendly helpful staff, play area for children, laundry, and propane available. Large Pilot across street just off Interstate but the campground was quiet at night.

This is a nice park just a couple of miles from Meridian. There is lots of shopping including Sam's Club in the city., and a huge variety of dining in town, too. There are clean, level, cement sites with tables and grass. Shade trees could hamper reception in summer, but in November there are few leaves so satellite and internet were fine. The entrance was gravel, but there was no dust, and even when the park was full in the evening, there was no noise. We stayed three nights and would stay again. It is easy on/off for Hwy 45.

Our site was located directly behind the service center but there was little noise or traffic. The park was clean and trash picked up regularly. Friendly owners. Lots to see and do at neighboring cities within a few miles each direction. We downgraded because of a large fire ant colony at our site and smoking in the men's bathroom despite signs, although owners were aware of the long-term tenant(s) responsible.

We stayed five nights because we wanted to do some site seeing in the area. Nights were very quiet. There was lots to see within 30-35 miles of Sallisaw if interested in history and the lakes. There was good BBQ a few miles south of KOA and some good eateries in town as well, but this is not a big city so don't expect elegant dining - just flavorful and good sized portions. There were helpful, friendly owners who pointed us to an RV refrigerator specialist who travels to the campground and was helpful, friendly, and did fast work for us and our fuse-popping frig. We would return to this KOA again. Only complaint was the dusty driveway and the permanent residents who don't understand 5 mph.

This park truly deserves a 10 but I took off a point because it is a pain to locate. Web page directions are a mess and the first time we called from Gladewater the staffer who answered gave us incorrect directions. Had to call back after some tight turns with our 40' and tow to get better directions. Once at the resort, we think it is truly a place to stay if you have things to do in the area - sites are long, level, paved, and wide; laundry, showers and restrooms are exceptionally clean; grass is green between sites; trash free; and very friendly and helpful owners. We certainly would stay again if in the area.

This is the second time we have stayed at this park; it seems cleaner than last spring. A quiet park just south of Perry with long pull-thrus, gravel sites and others for other types of camping. There are paved roads through the park and much grass plus a table for each site. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are weekend evening activities for campers and food is available on site (pizza and sandwiches). Waffles are available on the weekends. Laundry has a porch with rockers and restrooms and showers are clean. There is good cable and wifi. We like this park and will return again. We downgraded because we did have difficulty leveling.

This Good Sam's park is well kept, quiet, and has just about everything one could ask. Rate reflects GS discount. Over the weekend , three RV groups were there also, but there was plenty of space for everyone and no noise. We stayed a week because there is lots to do in the area and larger cities are not far away. We would stay again.

A comfortable place to camp while we were busy in the KC area. Price reflects Good Sam discount. Sites had tables and fairly large grass area for sitting out. No shade trees so it does get hot on sunny afternoons. Saturday evening country music programs, some with entertainment from Branson are inexpensive and enjoyable. We will stay here again when in the area.

Shaded sites, quiet, but no cement. All sites were gravel as were the driveways, which means that it can get dusty, but that was really our only complaint. Not difficult to locate since it is right on the highway, three miles east of town and well marked. Nice owners who answered all our questions. Downgraded because of the extensive gravel and dust. We stayed a week and would return to this park again.

We stayed at this campground for three weeks and had a site near the grassy play area, which was kept well mowed. Campground was clean as were facilities. Nice staff with lots of things to do at the campground. Half way between Kansas City and Topeka provides lots of options. Yes, there was noise from the nearby road construction and the many many trains. Lots to do in the area and wide variety of restaurants in town.

Usually quiet, clean campground on Blue Lake. Needed better staff policing of grounds during the weekend than during the week as seasonal campers tend to be less than perfect on the weekends. State park immediately across lake has keel boat exhibits and Lewis and Clark Trail information, all for free. Loess Hills State Forest area is a great 2-hour car trip with some very excellent scenery. We would stay here again. Casino four miles away. Slight downgrade because we did hear some I-29 traffic at night.

Consider the time of year when you read reviews. We stayed for four days in July when the park was shady, the flowers in full bloom, the gravel level, and the birds sang and sang. Those complaining of mud and dirt stayed at a time when this river bottom KOA had been inundated with rain and then dried out. Wi-Fi worked fine. Our complaints were that the cable did not work well and our systems were blocked by the shady trees. In 80-90 degrees I'll take the shade over the TV. The breezes made sitting out pleasant even in the heat. Our picnic table was of shoddy workmanship and we had no fire ring although almost every other site had one. We would stay again if we return to the area.

Pretty standard KOA with friendly owners and staff. Camp is right on I-90 intersection so there is truck noise. There is also jet noise from the nearby airport and national guard airfield. However, this rarely bothered us possibly because it was hot so we were inside our motorhome with the AC on. I downgraded because of the noise. Dust can be a problem when there is no rain for a few days and the wind is high such as it was when we stayed. Still, we will stay again when we are in the area.

A clean friendly campground among countryside fields. Golf course available next door. Although just off I-80, for the most part no interstate truck noise is noticed. Close to York and only a half hour or so from Lincoln. Office opens at noon. We enjoyed our stay at this campground.

This is not an RV park but instead a town gravel lot with ten smallish w/e/s sites packed together. All gravel except two with "cement", one a garage foundation and the other a driveway. Republican River and train track very near, although no noise from the few trains. No bathrooms, shower, picnic tables, place for campfire or place for children to play. Cable hookup worked but very poor satellite and no cell phone reception. No internet reception either. We stayed two weeks because of an area project and found the owner and townspeople friendly and helpful. Very quiet and dark.

Two shaded campgrounds along Pony Creek. Includes a roller rink, snack bar, mini golf, horseshoe pit, tennis and volleyball court, hiking trails, and many facilities for group gatherings. Also included are cabins, a hotel (adults only because of the historic nature of the hotel) and other historic buildings. Very quiet and pleasant. About five miles from nearest town. Cash only accepted. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Quiet for the two nights we spent at this campground. Lots of trees. Much rain but this campground is uphill so no flooding. Office hours are 8am to 8 pm and staff seems efficient and friendly. Some sites are not level but that's why we carry levelers. Many campers use this KOA and from what we heard, it seems to be a favorite of those passing through the area.

We stayed for two days and found that although our first impression was not the best, we did like the park once we were there. We were placed near the back with other large motorhomes. Many trees and a barrier kept interstate noise down. Bumpy road to get to the entrance but the sites were fine once in the park. Much to see and do in Salina area so we only were there at night. Many good restaurants in Salina so head out for dinner. We would return to this park in the future.

Office opens at 2 pm so call if arriving earlier. Staff will leave a note for you telling your site. Sites are all paved as are the roads with multiple speed bumps. Locked bath and laundry require combination from office which you receive when you register. Very clean. Staff friendly. Stayed one night but left with a good impression.

A park for Kansas City visitors concentrating on the south side of the city. The park is on a hillside overlooking beautiful four-lane US-71 Highway, and campers will hear truck traffic all night even when closed up. Yes, the country views are across the highway. Sites are gravel and level but entrance is bumpy and 45 degree uphill. Be forewarned that roadwork needs to be done to fix the entrance and exit areas. Nice patio with cement tables but no grills. Provide your own. We will stay again because those we want to visit are in south KC, or for an overnight. But this may not be the place you want to stay is visiting another part of the city.

We found this to be a good fit for us. Yes, there were a few trains, but not the number indicated in other posts - maybe a seasonal thing. The road was bumpy too which is why we downgraded slightly - trains and bumps. The campground was clean, quiet, staffed by friendly persons. We were away during the day and one of the two early evenings we stopped at this campground but we would certainly go back.

New park located in south Topeka at Forbes Field (a National Guard Airfield). There is some airplane noise but those in the park are a quiet mix of permanent and traveling RVers. The sites are very close together so there is little place for outdoor sitting and play. Gravel interior roads and sites but ours was quite level. Each site has a narrow strip of grass, and a picnic table but our neighbors slide hung nearly over our table. No laundry on site but laundromat is a block away as are restaurants, a post office, and a grocery.

A little difficult to get into and out of because gravel road has water gully. A nice friendly campground once you get into your slot. We were placed in the back with other large motorhomes, we were in the clear so got good satellite reception but if you have Verizon, there is no phone or broadband reception. You can get broadband at the Wi-Fi hotspot in the clubhouse, but phone requires leaving the campground.

A large park with many seasonal members. We were here for two days and had no problems at all. The sites were a little tight for a 40' motor home but we were away most of the time. Great bath houses - individual rooms that lock and contain both shower and toilet. Much to do in the area.

Campground was clean and the staff friendly, although we saw staff rarely except in the office. No trash service, you dump your bagged trash into the dumpster. We have been in many KOA campgrounds and always noted the rule was that pets should be leashed. At this campground that applies only to visitors while staff and seasonal or full time residents allowed cats and dogs to roam. The standard should be the same for all.

Nice park with cement pads and grass. Well maintained large sites but look for fire ants. Staff will spray if there are ants and they try to keep them under control. A big plus to stock up on supplies is the Sam's Wholesale Store across the street.

We had a great ocean view site two rows back from the breakwater. Staff and campers were exceptionally friendly and answered every question. There was a fish dock, a bar/grill, all kinds of sports available not to mention the excellent sunset views. This facility was supposed to have been sold but deal fell through so we were very lucky to get a great site for the five days we were there. We would certainly return.
